But approximately 23-26 lakhs Kilograms of chicken is sold in Kerala per day, according to the unofficial  information. 14-19% increment is recorded in each year. One interesting thing is that in national production of chicken is improving only 9-10%  here you can smell the scope of huge business



Poultry farms are 30 or more years aged in Kerala but this much of fast growing is happening in recent years only. Decreasing income is the major reason people avoid this industry .previously the broiler chicken takes nearly 60 days to become ready to sale.But now the that become 45 days and also rate of chicken 55-60 but now the price also increased .but now the income from the poultry is also increased because Rate in whole sale market 65-70 retail price 75-80 so the entrapraner is also get a good margin.


The increase of income from poultry is due to the integration technique used in the new generation poultry farming .In this type of farming technique they approach “All in All Out “due to this integration technique we can avoid the death rate in chicken(Mortality)

1st Week:
The growth rate of chick is faster in the Initial stage itself 200 Grm. In this time STARTER feed is giving

2nd Week
weight is become 500 grm

3rd Week
weight is become 750 grm

4th Week
weight is become 1200 grm From 4th week onward change the feed  pellet type more protein content enriched feed will given. FINISHER feed is it's name.

5th week
weight is become 1750 grm 

6th week

weight is become 2000-2250 grm .This is the best time to sell
